About the Course

This class focuses on balance, flexibility, cardio & strength and provides a full body workout.

Research conducted in 2014 pointed to the benefits of activities that specifically enhance balance, coordination, strength, and neuromuscular control. A more recent study conducted in 2024 shows that gentler activities like TaiChi outperforms conventional exercise at enhancing mobility and balance in healthy older adults—even with programs shorter than 20 weeks.

Since 2014, a growing body of research continues to support the idea that seniors should emphasize balance and coordination in their fitness routine. Across formats—martial arts, balance-focused workouts, coordination drills—the conclusions are consistent: integrated balance and coordination training significantly enhances physical and cognitive function in older adults.
