Boxing (stress reliever) class at DMC

BOXING (STRESS RELIEVER)

Mondays & Fridays, 4 - 5 pm

Experience the ultimate stress-busting workout at our co-ed Stress Reliever Boxing Class, perfect for beginners seeking an intense yet enjoyable workout in a supportive environment. Designed to help you forget your daily stressors, our classes begin with lighter exercises and invigorating circuits, leading into exciting combinations that will bring out your inner boxer. From Coach Dave: "I find it difficult to control sometimes as laughter is rampant!" This class welcomes all ages and genders, making it ideal for anyone looking to try boxing to reduce stress. We emphasize punching techniques that can transform a bad day into a great one. You'll see improvements in your technique, power, and agility. In this inclusive and friendly setting, you'll make new friends while acquiring boxing skills. Our classes cover combinations, slipping, ducking, routines, and various bag and partner drills. Stress Reliever is a stress-free, enjoyable, and empowering boxing experience!

BOXING (CARDIO)

Looking for a high-intensity and diverse workout? Join our co-ed Cardio Boxing class, the perfect choice for those seeking an all-encompassing fitness regimen. This class offers a dynamic blend of boxing techniques, exercises, circuits, and partner work, combined with a variety of cardio, toning, and strength-building activities. A typical session begins with a brisk warm-up, including activities like running or shadow-boxing with weights, followed by an intense cardio and/or strength-training circuit. The remainder of the class is dedicated to honing your boxing technique, engaging in partner work, and mastering high-intensity boxing drills. Expect each class to be a unique and exhilarating experience that will leave you dripping with sweat! Note that this class is not for beginners. It's designed for individuals already active and ready for a more challenging workout. You'll need to keep up with a fast-paced routine involving running, jumping, lateral movements, quick-paced punching drills, and partner workouts. Get ready to feel the burn and take your fitness to the next level!

BOXING (TRADITIONAL)

Mondays & Wednesdays, 6:30 - 8 pm, Fridays 5:30 - 7 pm

Welcome to our Traditional Boxing Class, where you don't need to be a competitive boxer to join in on the high-intensity action. This co-ed program caters to anyone looking for an invigorating workout. It's a self-directed experience that combines skipping, shadow boxing, bag work, focus pads, and core workouts to deliver a comprehensive fitness regimen. For those interested in pursuing competitive boxing, our coaches are here to assist with sparring and technical drills, helping you expand your skills and knowledge. Our class is open to participants aged 7 and older, but individuals under 13 must meet specific readiness criteria. They should either have prior experience in our Little Champs or Youth Boxing programs or undergo a one-on-one assessment with a coach. Our Traditional Boxing Class offers an inclusive and adaptable environment, welcoming all fitness levels and ages to explore the benefits of boxing while achieving your personal fitness goals.

Note: Competitors attend for the full hour and a half, while non-competitors stay for one hour only.

YOUTH BOXING

Join our Youth Boxing Class, tailored for individuals aged 11 to 18, where we introduce participants to the exciting world of boxing through a comprehensive curriculum that includes exercises, drills, bag work, focus pads, partner drills, and more. Beyond honing boxing skills, our program places a strong emphasis on character development, instilling values such as discipline, perseverance, self-confidence, teamwork, and respect. Through rigorous yet enjoyable training, students not only build physical strength but also form lasting friendships, foster a sense of commitment, and learn to respect coaches, teammates, and opponents. Our dedicated coaching staff ensures each class strikes the perfect balance between structure and fun, adapting instruction to accommodate all skill levels. With each session offering a fresh set of challenges, our goal is to nurture not just skilled boxers but also well-rounded, confident, and respectful individuals, fostering a lifelong love for both the sport and personal growth. LITTLE CHAMPS

Introducing our Little Champs Boxing Class, a specially crafted program for children aged 7 to 10, providing a thrilling introduction to the world of boxing. This dynamic class encompasses a diverse array of activities, including exercises, drills, bag work, focus pads, partner drills, and more, all designed to foster physical fitness and fundamental boxing skills. Beyond the athletic aspect, our program places a strong emphasis on character development, helping young participants build essential qualities such as discipline, perseverance, self-confidence, teamwork, and respect. Our dedicated coaching team takes pride in cultivating an atmosphere that is both strict and fun, ensuring that each child's development is carefully nurtured. Join us in empowering your child to become a Little Champ both inside and outside the ring. Note that for the first month, gloves will be provided, allowing kids to get started without any immediate gear expenses. However, as they progress, participants will be encouraged to invest in their own gloves, marking the beginning of their exciting journey into the world of boxing.

LADIES’ KICKBOXING

Ladies’ Kickboxing is an empowering women’s-only class offering a wide range of activities, including circuit training, bag work, focus pads, kickboxing shield work, weight training, and invigorating cardio workouts. Participants will embark on a journey where they learn the fundamentals of kicks and punches, gradually progressing to more intricate combinations as they grow confident in their abilities. This program is ideally suited for those who are at a higher fitness level and are eager to push their boundaries. Every class is a unique experience, ensuring that you’ll never get bored, and you’ll always find new challenges to conquer. Join us for a dynamic and supportive kickboxing community where you can build strength, confidence, and camaraderie. Note that this class may not be suitable for individuals with leg, hip, back, or balance issues, as the workouts can be demanding.

LADIES’ BOXING

Following this, we dive into a more intense cardio and strength-training circuit to push your limits. The remainder of the class is dedicated to honing your boxing technique, engaging in pair work, and tackling high-intensity boxing drills. Our primary goal is to ensure you have a blast while achieving your fitness goals in a supportive and empowering environment. So, come join us, have fun, and get fit alongside an incredible community of women who share your enthusiasm for boxing.

BOXING BOOTCAMP

This class is tailored to accommodate participants at any stage of their fitness journey. A typical session begins with a short warm-up and mobility exercises. From there, you’ll delve into targeted strength training or high-intensity cardio circuits that will leave you feeling exhilarated. Weaving in boxing drills adds an extra layer of challenge to the mix. As the class winds down, we’ll guide you through a relaxing stretching routine to ensure you’re ready to tackle whatever weekend adventures await. Get ready to have a blast and work up a sweat while building strength and endurance in a supportive and motivating environment. Join us for Boxing Bootcamp, and let’s make your weekends truly energizing and memorable!
